Dalton James Holman

Dalton James Holman, 81, of Zionsville passed away Wednesday September 26, 2018, peacefully at home.
Dalton was born April 20, 1937, a son of the late Elmer and Lois Holman (Reeves). He married Judith Stocton on October 5, 1957. He graduated from Heath High School in Paducah, Kentucky. He worked for Eli Lilly, retiring after 37 years of working in shipping and distribution.
He was a good man, a loving father to 4 daughters and loved spending time with his family more than anything. He enjoyed trains, fishing, woodworking and gardening. He and Judy loved to travel, taking several trips to places such as France, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and all over the United States. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, always going to their games and school activities.
Survivors include his loving wife Judy; daughters Rebecca (Mark) Banks, Barbara (Dennis) Martin, Elizabeth (Joe) Granko and Jennifer (Scott) Frazier; grandchildren Brian Martin, Logan (Bobbi) Banks, Matthew Martin, Mark Granko, Adam (Hannah) Banks, Ryan Frazier, Emily Frazier and Stephen Granko; four great grandchildren; brothers Duon Holman, Virgil (LaWanda) Holman; a sister Jeanelle Montgomery and several nieces and nephews. Dalton was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Forrest Holman, a sister Pauline Dickey and a great grandchild Isabella.
Family and friends will gather Monday October 1, 2018 for visitation from 11am until time of services at 2pm at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St. Zionsville, IN 46077. Burial will immediately follow at Zionsville Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
